After a month or so that the official website of Capiz was inaccessible, it is now back with a stunning new appearance and green theme. The provincial government have already put an effort to make the website updated and appear to be more competitive in terms of design compared to other provinces of the country. I salute the guys behind this effort to improve the image of the province by having a website that we can visit and read for updates about the happening of the province in Capiz. Hectic Capiznon Bloggers 2009 participants will surely swarm the site after they read this post of mine and they will definitely blog about this.
I hope that they've already deal with the security issues of the said site. I mentioned this because the site started to become inaccessible when it was hacked by a certain Turkish hacker due to the vulnerability of the CMS (content management system) used by Capiz.gov.ph, which is the not updated version of Joomla. I think today, they've already used a different CMS and honestly, I don't know what it is yet. The site is still under development (as according to its admin stated on the footer of the site) and might have several features to be added later. I hope they consider to include a moderated forum where Capiznons can discuss and exchange ideas. A lot of Capiznon from different part of the world would love to leave their messages to the site. I know this because I've been maintaining a forum for quite sometime now.
Kudos and Mabuhay to the Capiz government!
