Mexican president Felipe Calderón spoke at Stanford University’s commencement ceremonies yesterday.
Franklin D. Roosevelt and Mexican president Manuel Ávila Camacho in Monterrey, Mexico on April 20, 1943. Mexico had joined World War II on the side of the Allies a year earlier, and Mexican troops would fight alongside US troops in the Phillipines in 1945, during the Battle of Luzon.
