Harry Potter Books in Hindi

This is the First time I have brought any book translated in Hindi (Of course I won't count Rosi Lok Kathaye as it was brought by my father).

I never buy English books translted in Hindi but this time I purchased one book to check the quality of translation and above that I brought so that my relatives who are not very good in english can also enjoy Harry Potter. I was impressed by the quality of Translation which was done by : Dr. Sudhir Dixit.

It was above any other translation, one of the best I have read. I immediately purchased all other 6 Books in Hindi also. There are few words which are translated in funny way like "Mad Eye" was translated as बावरे नैन and all the Magic words were translated in Hindi which shall not be done. For instance "Avada Kedavra" was translated as मृत्युदंषम and many more.... They are good but I feel that if the spells are kept as they were then it would be much better.

"Three Mistakes of My Life" by Chetan Bhagat

I always heard about books of Chetan Bhagat and people says that they are really good. Even my sister liked his book "A Night at Call Centre". After listening to so many fans, I decided to try his book and I purchased his new book "Three Mistakes of My Life" along with "The Bourne Ultimatum" written by Robert Ludlum.

I first decided to finish "The Bourne Ultimatum" and though it was roughly around 750 pages, I couldn't leave it in between the story as it was so brilliantly written that no one can leave it in between. So I finished it first then started reading "Three Mistakes of My Life" and surprisingly I finished it today itself, "The Bourne Ultimatum" took 4 days.

Anyway, now on this book. This book is written in simple narrative form where a Businessmen is telling story of his two friends and his own, where he admitted three mistakes of his life. Also the story revolves round Cricket, Politics and Love where the narrator is accusing himself for being selfish.

I think the story plot was simple and sometime it was predictive. Though Indian society is a lot different from what it is shown in this book. I am still not getting why the book is being so much adored when there is nothing new in it. Just a simple story told in a simple way.

I have read books of Mario Puzo, Robert Ludlum, Paulo Coelho and many more foreign writers even Famous Indian writters like Munshi Premchand had written a lot better books. I think books written by old Indian Writers were far more better than these but still old one never saw such success in terms of money. They were loved but never earned so much money. May be due to marketing these books are finding audience.

I still don't see any point in reading books which just are a waste of time. Its OK if you want to increase the count of books you have read. But if you want to spend your time for quality things then such books are strictly no-no.

Reading and adoring this book will be just like Watching Sarkar and saying that it is better than The Godfather.

A total waste of time.

Today I have completed and published my First Book, It took me whole six months to complete it.

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows

Finally I read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Before reading it I thought Deathly Hallows will be reference to some places where Dark Lord might have hidden his Horcruxes. But to my surprise they were referred to something else, something more powerful than death.

I may not be able to do full justice to this book as it is great and it covers all the loopholes in any previous Harry Potter book and all the questions are answered.

There are many deaths in this book, including the death of Hedwig which dies in the beginning.

Currently I am writing a full review which will be based on all the 37 chapters of this book and I will post it very soon. May be in One or Two days.

Till then I will recommend that you must read this book as it is better to read the book than to go through a review and have a overview of the book.

Who will cry when you die ?

This is another nice book written by Robin Sharma, the other one I read was The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari. This book, Who will cry when you die can be said to be a collection of thoughts which shows the way of living through which one can attain love and affection by his peers.

This book is written in such a manner that you can start of at any point. Its writen in the form of chapters, a total of 101 chapters, and each chapter is independent from previous ones.

A quote from the book:
"When you were born, you cried while the world rejoiced. Live your life in such a way that when you die the world cries while you rejoice."

This book should be read by everyone and especially by those who already read The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari and liked the book.

The Alchemist

Today I read the Book "The Alchemist" written by PAULO COELHO.

Its a story of a sheperd SANTIAGO who searched for his destiny. Throughout this book I was amazed with the tight story line and also the hidden motivational force. I really loved this book and I also loved the way this book presents the motive to fullfil your dreams in a simple story of a boy.

Features like love, destiny and never giving up the hope are hidden superbly under the simple story which comes out in your heart as you go on reading this book.

Despite the fact tomarrow I have an Exam I have read this book completely in one go because I simply can't stop it before finishing it.

It also brings out my ppast failure, when I didn't went on to fullfil my dream. Now I can't go back but this time I will not loose my next dream and this is a promise I made with myself after reading this book.

The Godfather Returns

This is a book written by Mark Winegardner which was written of the base story of The Godfather and wraps around The Godfather Trilogy.

This novel although having tough language is superbly executed novel and ties up the gap between The Godfather Novel and the Godfather Movies.

Published in 2004, it is great adoptation of the original Novel. The main focus is on The Character of Micheal Corleone.

It should be read by all the Novel fans but only after reading the original Godfather Novel.

The Godfather

This is one of the best Book I have ever read.

Its a master piece. The main plot is of a Crime Family of New York and the power struggle between the various Crime Organizations of New York Called as Families.

Written by Mario Puzo it is one of the finest work in Fiction. I must admit that apart from the crime story it also has a great character buid and especially the character of Micheal Corleone was superbly crafted.

Every one should read this book for once.

This book was the base of the famous Godfather Movie and the trilogy series.

Angels and Demons

Another good book by Dan Brown. This book is prior to Da Vinci code and is also having the same thrill as Da Vinci Code. Its great reading for sci fy thriller fans and Suspense story lovers.

Those who like Da Vinci Code should not miss it.

Its a story of a Murder then it revolves around the threat in which the whole Vatican City is at stake during its Pope Selection time.

Also there are good refrences to statues and historical datas and one great revelation at the end.

Must read

The Da Vinci Code

I have completed this book today and this one is a great reading.

The story idea and its treatment is excellent. I must say every one who like mysterious readings should read this one. Now I am looking forward for the movie. I wanted to see it.
