“Slut Walk” Hits Mexico City: Women Take Aim at Machismo

Hotel in Mexico I went to last summer. Had an amazing time! :]

The gorgeous beach where 16 of the 18 of us got sunburned through our sunscreen, some worse than others.  My back was destroyed through SPF 90.

If my entire summer could be spent drinking margaritas while looking out at a beautiful beach from a hammock in the shade, I’d be quite okay with that.  So relaxing.

Colours with shadows and highlights. I don’t think I’m done with this, though. I may play with some textures in Photoshop, idk.

“He should not have done it. He wasn’t prepared for it. … It pretty much has to change; the next president will not be able to continue with Calderón’s policy. … The question at the end of the day is whether the violence brought the war upon the country, or whether the war brought the violence upon the country.”

Nigel and I intrepidly stepped forwards – to say that the heat hit us like a wall would be an understatement, my glasses steamed up and their metal frames almost burnt me - I had to leave them at the entrance. A slightly fuzzy view however did not perturb my sense of awe. I was dumbstruck. A torrent of sweat streamed from my head, my energy was being sucked away, and my breathing became heavy. The view was enthralling, my eyes led me forwards but my body wanted to retreat. I was dwarfed by a forest of giant gypsum crystals, some up to 12 metres long - the largest crystals ever discovered, some estimated to weigh as much as 55 tonnes.

So tonight is my last night in California for a month! Tomorrow I will be flying to Morelia to spend part of the summer with my family, some of whom I have not met, and others who met me when I was 1 year old :) Pray for me and for the airplane because I am completely afraid of heights!! Anyhow, I will still try to update from Mexico as often as possible. Life is sweet and my Jesus is so good! Goodbye California!
