Zócalo de la Ciudad de México - Catedral by Gonzalo Yáñez

this is tortilla soup from sanborns, a chain in mexico.

thats not my thumbs up - in fact, i dont know whose it is.

but i do know that this tortilla soups deserves more than one thumbs up.

it is the best tortilla soup i have had in mi vida.

i had this sudden craving for it and am at a loss on how to satisfy my craving.

whenever my family and i go to mexico, i insist on going to sanborns at least once a day - sometimes twice - so i can alternate my meals between the tortilla soup and the enchiladas.

nomnomnom.

i just confirmed that there are sanborns in tijuana.

who wants to drive with me???

“Scenes of femicide from the drug war in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, over just seven days: one, in the town of Cadereyta, towards the Palmito, a woman’s body cut up into six parts inside a metal bath. Two, a woman’s head lying in avenida Gonzalitos y Francisco Rocha, on the corner of the restaurant “El Gran Pastor”. Three, a taxi parked in front of the municipality of Guadalupe’s office of public safety - in the back seat, a large paint bucket containing a woman’s head. Four, two plastic bags lying on a road in Hacienda El Alamito with five pieces of a woman’s body, her head missing.”
